1. What Are Teams?
Summary
Teams are pre-built groups of agents designed to work together on multi-step workflows.
While individual agents handle single tasks, Teams are curated groups of agents that collaborate on complex workflows. A content marketing team, for example, might include a researcher, a writer, an SEO optimizer, and a social media scheduler - all working in sequence.
You can browse and create teams manually from the Marketplace, or let Cole handle it automatically - Cole's Smart Routing detects when a task needs multiple agents and delegates to the right team for you.
2. Creating & Managing Teams
Summary
Create teams from templates, customize agents, and interact through a conversational chat interface - or delete teams you no longer need.
To use a team:
- Navigate to the Teams section
- Browse available team templates
- Click on a team to see its agent roster and workflow
- Customize the team by adding or removing agents
- Start chatting with your team - describe what you need, @mention specific agents, or let Smart Routing assign work automatically
Deleting a team
If you no longer need a team, you can remove it:
- Go to Account → Teams or the Teams page
- Open the team you want to delete
- Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Team
- Confirm the deletion - this action is permanent and cannot be undone
Note: Deleting a team does not delete the individual agents - they remain available in the Marketplace for future use.
3. How Team Orchestration Works
Summary
Agents in a team pass outputs to each other automatically, creating a seamless pipeline - triggered by you or by Cole's Smart Routing.
When a team runs, agents execute in a defined order. Each agent's output becomes the next agent's input. For example:
- A research agent gathers data on a topic
- A writing agent uses that research to draft content
- An SEO agent optimizes the draft for search engines
- A scheduling agent publishes the final piece
You can review intermediate outputs at each step before the pipeline continues. Cole can also trigger team orchestration automatically via Smart Routing - just describe what you need and Cole picks the right team and kicks off the workflow.
4. Team Outputs & Results
Summary
View the final output and each intermediate step in the team chat or the Conversations inbox.
After a team finishes its workflow, you can view the final result as well as each agent's individual output. Results appear directly in the team chat and are also accessible from the Conversations inbox. This gives you full transparency into what happened at each stage and lets you identify which steps to refine for future runs.
